Tunes by Key
There can be several reasons why you might want to find tunes in a given key.
When putting together a set of tunes it's pleasing to hear key progressions which form a chordal pattern like G, D, C and back to G.
You might also want to experiment with some modalities or have an instrument which only plays one key.
The table below is set out with these fixed key instruments in mind. Each row is set out for the instrument key, with the various modes running along it. We won't have tunes for every key and mode, but have included them for a complete record. We also have a few tunes in a 2 sharp bagpipe tuning
